EMAIL POP AND SMTP CONFIGURATION

Configuring the Email Account on the Client
This section will demonstrate the configuration through the email application Outlook 2003.

Step 1: Open Outlook 2003 - Click on TOOLS and E-mail Accounts (As shown Below)

Step 2: View or Change e-mail Accounts

Step 3: Create a new mail account

Click "Add" to create a new account. If you already have setup an account previously, it should be listed in the left hand windows. Highlight that account and select "Change" to make adjustments to your existing mail account.

Step 4: Select POP3 Server Type

Step 5: Setup Your E-mail Account

Under User Information, you need to type out your name, (this is the name that will appear to the recipients of your messages). In addition, you will need to type out your full e-mail address. Under Server Information, you will need to insert your incoming mail server address, "mail.redtowertech.com" and enter your outgoing mail server address, "mail.redtowertech.com". Note: The incoming and outgoing addresses are the same. Under Logon Information, you will need to type your full e-mail address again, and type in your pre-selected password. At this point, click "More Settings" and proceed to Step 6.

Step 6: Additional Outgoing Server Settings

An Internet E-mail Settings box will pop up. Click the "Outgoing Server" tab at the top. Check the box that states "My outgoing Server (SMTP) requires authentication. Make sure "Use same settings as my incoming mail server" is checked. Click "OK" to close this box.

Step 7: Test Account Settings

After correctly placing all your information into Outlook 2003, please test your account settings. Simply click on the "Test Account Settings" button.

Step 8: Test Results

A successful test will yield all green check marks (as indicated below). If your account works, click close. Then click next and finish to get out of the e-mail account property box. Congrats!
